Heatseeker

The Crazy Tube Circuits Heatseeker is a dual-channel amp-style overdrive and preamp pedal inspired by a classic 1970s wireless guitar preamp and three British amplifier circuits. Its all-analog JFET design operates internally at 27V for increased headroom, dynamic response, and amplifier-like feel. The wireless preamp section enhances signal dynamics, tightens low frequencies, and adds midrange presence through an adjustable Enhance control. The amp section offers three British-style voicings with dedicated gain structures, combined with a 3-band EQ, Presence control, and power amp simulation. A dedicated Wall of Sound (WoS) mode increases output and emphasizes low and high-mid frequencies for a larger, more aggressive sound. The Heatseeker also includes a passive effects loop between the preamp and amp sections, allowing external pedals to be inserted between stages or enabling both sections to be used independently.
