The Bootleg is a compact digital delay built around the Princeton PT2399 chip, delivering classic echo tones inspired by vintage tape machines. From tight slapback at 40ms to spacious repeats around 400ms, it ranges from warm and clean to increasingly lo-fi and gritty at higher settings. What makes it unique is the dedicated Dirt control, allowing you to add gain directly to the repeats. Keep it low for a clean delay path, or push it for saturated, textured echoes that cut through a mix. Unlike most tape-style delays, the Bootleg’s repeats become brighter as they decay, giving it a distinct, lively character. This Version 2 model focuses on pure tone and simplicity, without tap tempo or external tap input.
