The Placebo Pedal is the ultimate tongue-in-cheek effect — a beautifully crafted stompbox that does absolutely nothing. Created in collaboration with Chibson USA, it looks and feels like a real pedal, complete with custom powder coat graphics, matching collector’s box, numbered enclosure, and fully functional footswitch, jacks, and knobs labeled “Dosage” and “FX.” Plug it in and the LED lights up, adding to the illusion. It’s true bypass… of nothing at all. Built in limited quantities, it’s equal parts satire and statement piece. For those who want more than pure placebo, an optional PCB kit lets you convert it into a real vintage-style fuzz with downloadable instructions and schematic.
