The Wren and Cuff Blue-Violet Caprid Small Foot is a compact version of the Blue Violet Caprid OG, inspired by the sought-after “violet-era” Ram’s Head Muff. Designed for pedalboard convenience, it retains the core voicing of the original big-box model. Inside are three hand-selected orange-dot transistors and one violet-dot transistor, carefully matched for ideal gain and classic Muff character. Component values mirror the OG version, delivering rich, violin-like sustain with a slightly aggressive edge and smooth harmonic bloom. While the smaller enclosure uses modern components instead of large carbon-comp resistors and the original open layout, the tonal differences are subtle. The result is a faithful, pedalboard-friendly take on the violet-era sound—lush, expressive, and full of vintage-inspired fuzz character.
