The Albatross is a bass fuzz that blends a modern JFET preamp with an old-school transistor fuzz, delivering powerful drive without sacrificing low-end clarity. Inspired by the tones of John Entwistle, Billy Sheehan and Tim Commerford, it captures that thunderous, articulate bass sound where the lows stay tight even under heavy saturation. Built around the concept of bi-amping, the circuit preserves clean low frequencies while adding controlled distortion to the rest of the signal, all within a single compact pedal.
