Nouveau Rich began as an exploration of the classic RAT circuit, aiming to refine its lower gain tones and enhance dynamic response. What started as a RAT-style drive has evolved far beyond, retaining a hint of that iconic DNA while expanding headroom, smoothing clipping and dramatically increasing tonal flexibility. From dirty boost to sparkling overdrive and full distortion with subtle fuzzy overtones, Nouveau Rich is a true workhorse. The FREQ control acts as a post-gain filter, while VOICE shapes the mids pre-gain. A +/- bass switch boosts or cuts lows to suit solo or band settings. Running internally at 18V via a voltage booster, with LED clipping and Klon-style buffered bypass, it delivers smooth, amp-like response in a sleek matte black enclosure.
