LVL Stormtrooper

The 1981 Inventions LVL is a full-range low-gain overdrive developed in collaboration with John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments. Designed for both guitar and bass, it provides a dynamic and responsive overdrive character with carefully voiced midrange frequencies that add presence without overwhelming the natural sound of the instrument. The LVL can be used as a standalone overdrive, as a tone-shaping preamp to push an amplifier or another drive pedal, or after a fuzz pedal to improve clarity, definition, and midrange presence. The pedal features true bypass operation and includes an internal switch that allows the onboard buffer to be enabled if desired. It can operate at either 9V or 18V, with the higher voltage providing increased headroom and dynamic range.
