The EarthQuaker Devices x Sunn O))) Life Pedal (Gold Edition) is a limited-edition octave distortion and booster created in collaboration with the legendary drone-metal band Sunn O))). Designed to capture the massive, saturated tones heard on the band’s Life Metal sessions with producer Steve Albini, the pedal features the coveted LM308 chip, delivering thick distortion, powerful octave textures, and an integrated boost for pushing amps into towering walls of sound. This special gold-chassis edition was released as a strictly limited run of 500 units following the instant sell-out of the original version. Of these, 300 were sold through Reverb, while 200 were sold directly by Sunn O))) on tour, with some paired with the Life Metal LP. The circuitry remains identical to the original Life Pedal, offering the same aggressive character and immense sonic weight that made the first release highly sought after by collectors and fans of heavy experimental tones.
