Starting Gun
Report incorrect information
The ALH Effects Starting Gun is a fuzz pedal inspired by David Gilmour’s tone during the 1977 Animals tour. ALH Effects, known for their deep passion for Gilmour’s gear, crafted this pedal as a tribute to the heavily modified silicon Fuzz Face he used at the time, featuring BC109 transistors.
The name “Starting Gun” references a line from Time on The Dark Side of the Moon, right before a soaring, saturated fuzz solo, while the boar artwork nods to Animals.
Built around a vintage-style BC109 Fuzz Face circuit, the Starting Gun delivers rich, saturated fuzz with strong character and sustain. It also includes added noise filtering for tighter control and a Tone knob, absent on the original, allowing players to tame harshness or dial in a smoother response.
