Chase Bliss
Big Time
Report incorrect information
The Chase Bliss Big Time is a hybrid stereo delay developed with John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments, inspired by early-1980s rackmount delays that combined analog circuitry with early digital processing. Its architecture includes a stereo analog preamp at the input and a stereo analog limiter inside the delay feedback loop, combining digital flexibility with analog signal shaping. Beyond conventional echoes, Big Time is designed for experimental delay processing including misbiased modulation, degrading or dissolving feedback loops, sequenced echoes, and spacious ambient effects. The result bridges analog and digital delay approaches rather than reproducing a single traditional echo format, with an emphasis on extensive sound manipulation and stereo operation.
