Fumble

Report incorrect information
The JHS Fumble is a JFET-based clean boost and preamp pedal derived from the Dumble BBC-1 preamp circuit, a design associated with the FET input stage found in certain Dumble amplifiers. Rather than functioning as an overdrive, it is designed to enhance, shape, and boost the signal while preserving clarity and dynamics. The pedal features two controls: Output, which sets the overall volume level, and Input, which simultaneously adjusts input gain and low-frequency content. Increasing the Input control produces a fuller, louder response, while reducing it tightens the low end and decreases signal level. The Fumble can be used as a clean boost, always-on preamp, tone shaper, or as a front-end booster for overdrives and amplifiers. It employs a simple all-analog JFET circuit and features true bypass switching.
