Alcmene

The AllPedal Alcmene is an overdrive pedal inspired by the Klon Centaur and built around NOS 1N34A germanium clipping diodes, the same type used in the original design. It is capable of producing a range of sounds from low-gain overdrive to heavier germanium clipping as the gain control is increased. The pedal includes an active treble control, allowing adjustment of the high-frequency response, and an internal charge pump that raises the operating voltage to provide increased headroom and dynamic response. By combining germanium clipping, active EQ, and higher internal voltage operation, the Alcmene expands on the traditional Klon-style format while maintaining the characteristics associated with germanium-based overdrive circuits.
