In The Water

The In the Water is a stereo ambient delay and drone pedal inspired by the Blackfeet story of Old Man (Napi) and the reflections on water. Rather than emulating a traditional delay, it creates evolving reflections that reverse, shift in pitch, and move across the stereo field. The Ripples control adjusts the density and feedback of the reflections, from a single echo to the edge of oscillation. Holding the footswitch activates Wave Gen, which transforms a played note into an evolving five-voice drone consisting of the root, two detuned voices, one octave up, and three octaves up. Dedicated Waveform Filter and Waveform Rez controls shape the drone's tone, while Deep Control adds support for expression pedals and MIDI CC, Clock, Note, and Pitch messages. The pedal features artwork and graphics that reflect its Blackfeet cultural inspiration, including the story printed on the underside, making this release as much a tribute to its heritage as it is an ambient sound design tool.
