Optical Compressor

The Kappa Electronics Optical Compressor is designed for guitar, bass, keyboards and mixing applications. Threshold sets the input level at which compression begins, Attack controls how quickly compression reaches its maximum level, and Release determines how quickly the signal returns to uncompressed gain. Blend mixes the dry and compressed signals for parallel compression, preserving more of the original dynamics, while Level controls output volume and can also provide clean boost. Six LEDs provide visual indication of gain reduction, allowing the amount of compression to be monitored while adjusting the pedal.
