UltraPhonix MKII

The Vertex Ultraphonix Special Overdrive MKII is a Dumble-style overdrive designed to reproduce the tone and feel of the Dumble Overdrive Special (ODS). Voiced alongside four Dumble ODS amplifiers from 1970–1990, it delivers the characteristic note bloom, harmonic overtones and saturated response associated with these amps. The MKII adds a Ratio control for blending clean and distorted signals, while Drive Level controls saturation, Filter adjusts the midrange emphasis around 800 Hz–1.6 kHz, and Master sets the overall output level. It is also 30% smaller than the original Ultraphonix.
