The Catalinbread Fuzzrite recreates the original silicon-transistor Mosrite Fuzzrite of the 1960s. Developed in collaboration with the Moseley estate, Catalinbread used original NOS Fuzzrite pedals as benchmarks and consulted original designer Ed Sanner to reproduce their sound and response. The circuit uses specially sourced vintage NOS silicon transistors. Volume controls output and can push an amp into additional saturation, while Depth blends the first transistor stage with a second, moving from a fuller, cleaner fuzz through gated and upper-octave-like textures to thin, aggressive saturation. As an old-school, dynamically responsive fuzz, it works best early in the signal chain without a buffer in front. Powered by a 9V battery or center-negative 9V DC supply.
