Dynamic Distortion MKII (Seafoam)

The Vertex Dynamic Distortion MKII is a limited-edition analog distortion combining characteristics of classic overdrive, distortion, and fuzz circuits. Its design blends the midrange focus and articulation associated with Tube Screamer-style overdrive with the full-bodied response, touch sensitivity, and guitar-volume cleanup of vintage germanium fuzz. The circuit is designed to work reliably with buffers and wah pedals without the interaction problems common to vintage fuzzes. A Thin/Fat control provides broad voicing adjustment, ranging from a fuller British 4x12-style response to brighter, more aggressive RAT-style distortion. The design also incorporates tonal elements associated with the SD-9, RAT, and fuzz circuits.
