The Laney The Custard Factory is a studio-quality bass compressor designed for transparent dynamic control while preserving the fundamental character of the instrument. It provides three compression modes—Fast, Medium and Slow—to suit different playing styles and response requirements. Dedicated Compression and Volume controls adjust the amount of compression and overall output, while Wet-Dry Mix enables parallel compression by blending the processed and original signals. A Presence control provides additional high-frequency shaping. The pedal uses transparent fully buffered operation at all times, providing a consistent load for the signal chain and passive volume pedals. Silent switching minimizes noise when engaging or bypassing the effect, and the circuit is housed in a solid metal chassis.
