Black Country Customs Monolith

The Laney Black Country Customs Monolith is a triple-mode distortion pedal designed to cover a broad range of gain tones, from classic fat rock distortion to lighter, jangly drive. Its three modes provide Heavily Compressed Distortion, Overdrive Distortion and Soft Compressed Distortion voicings, allowing different levels of saturation and compression. The circuit is designed to remain expressive even at low gain settings, with a dynamic response that increases in intensity with harder pick attack. At higher gain, it retains note definition in complex chords and lead playing. A tri-color LED provides a clear visual indication of the selected mode, while silent switching minimizes noise when engaging or bypassing the effect. It features low battery consumption, a solid metal chassis and a consistent load suitable for passive volume pedals.
