Low Pass Filter
Report incorrect information
The Broughton Audio Low Pass Filter is a utility pedal designed to reduce unwanted high-frequency content such as fret buzz, string noise and artifacts from distortion or other effects. Its 12 dB-per-octave low-pass filter provides a continuously adjustable cutoff frequency from 15 kHz down to 220 Hz, allowing anything from subtle high-end smoothing to heavily rolled-off dub-style bass tones. It can also approximate the high-frequency roll-off of a speaker cabinet. The pedal works with active or passive instruments, pedals, preamps and effects loops. Input impedance is 1 MΩ and output impedance is 100Ω. It accepts 9–24V DC center-negative power, draws approximately 10 mA, and higher supply voltages provide additional clean headroom for line-level signals.
