FU-2 Octave Fuzz

The FU-2 is an octave fuzz inspired by the Boss Hyper Fuzz and vintage Japanese Superfuzz circuit, paired with an active Baxandall EQ derived from the Orange OR120 amplifier. It produces heavily saturated fuzz with prominent upper harmonics, octave textures, strong low-end response and extended sustain. Active Bass and Treble controls provide up to ±20 dB of boost or cut for extensive frequency shaping. The Expander control adjusts the circuit’s internal gain structure, ranging from gritty breakup to extreme saturation, while Level controls the output and can push an amplifier further into compression. Designed particularly for doom and stoner rock, the FU-2 uses analog circuitry with relay-based true-bypass soft switching.
