FET120

The Fuzzlord Effects FET120 is an overdrive, distortion and preamp pedal inspired by the 1970s Orange OR-120 amplifier, replacing the original preamp tubes with FET transistors. Closely associated with classic doom tones, the circuit is designed for both guitar and bass, including heavily down-tuned instruments. Controls include Bass, Treble, Level and Gain, with the EQ providing ±20 dB of boost or cut. Its wide gain range covers clean boost and light overdrive through heavier distortion and fuzz-like saturation. The FET120 also provides substantial headroom, allowing it to function as a standalone preamp connected directly to an amplifier’s effects-loop return, as well as a conventional drive pedal into the front of an amp.
