The HotLanta Overdrive – Original is a dual-drive pedal derived from the circuit, voicing and response of Mason-Dixon Fillmore East Edition amplifiers. Rather than simply boosting an amplifier, it is designed to reproduce the gain structure, compression and harmonic response of those amps, making it particularly suitable for clean and high-headroom platforms. It responds dynamically to picking and guitar-volume changes, with progressive saturation, sustain and harmonic bloom. The Voice control shapes presence and upper frequencies with characteristics similar to vintage JBL D120 speakers. A second drive stage provides additional gain and sustain for solos or heavier lead tones without requiring another pedal.
