Tremond (The Brick)

The Tremond is a distortion and boost pedal based on the classic RAT circuit, specifically tuned toward the character of early big-box/Whiteface versions. It uses an LM308N op-amp and offers three clipping options: silicon diodes for classic high-gain distortion, an asymmetrical LED/germanium combination for a less compressed response, or no clipping diodes for op-amp distortion. Alongside the distortion channel is a dark-voiced MOSFET boost that can add compression and breakup, with an internal trimmer for additional gain. Blend mixes the boost and distortion channels, while Boost LPF progressively removes mids and treble from the boost while increasing low-end emphasis. Additional controls include Distortion, Tone and Master Volume. The pedal operates exclusively from a standard 9V DC center-negative supply and does not support battery operation.
