Pedalboard Buffer Interface

The Vertex Effects Buffer Interface is a four-buffer routing interface designed for mono, stereo, multi-amp and effects-loop pedalboard configurations. It provides buffers at the Guitar input, Amp Left output, Amp Right output and effects-loop Return, with 1 MΩ input and 80Ω output impedance. The Amp Right output uses transformer-based galvanic isolation with a polarity switch for reducing ground-loop hum and correcting phase issues in multi-amp rigs. Routing options include mono, split mono, stereo, four- and five-cable methods, wet/dry, wet/dry/wet and an audition loop. A passive input is available for impedance-sensitive fuzz pedals. It accepts 5.5–30V DC center-negative power at 150 mA and operates internally at approximately 24V for increased headroom.
