King of Tone (white)

The Analog Man King of Tone is a dual-channel analog overdrive featuring two completely independent overdrive circuits that can be used separately or stacked in series. Each side has its own Volume, Drive, and Tone controls, while internal DIP switches allow each channel to be configured independently as Clean Boost, Overdrive, or Distortion. The Clean mode provides a transparent boost with minimal compression, Overdrive delivers an open, amp-like drive with soft clipping, and Distortion adds higher gain with harder clipping while retaining the pedal's dynamic character. Internal treble trimmers allow fine adjustment for different guitars and amplifiers. Unlike Tube Screamer-style circuits, the King of Tone emphasizes a more open response with less midrange emphasis, less compression, and improved low-end retention, making it ideal for enhancing an amplifier's natural tone rather than dramatically reshaping it. Newer versions can also operate at 18V for increased headroom and clarity.
