The Mile End Effects MTHRFCKR=RPTR is a cassette-style delay and preamp designed to reproduce the unstable modulation, saturation and lo-fi artifacts of degraded tape machines. Its random, non-cyclical LFO offers sine and square wave modulation, with independent Speed and Depth controls for effects ranging from subtle tape-speed variation to pronounced flutter. Delay Level blends the effected and dry signals, Time sets echo speed, and Repeats controls feedback. A Wet switch removes the dry signal for fully effected processing, while a momentary switch drives the delay into self-oscillation. The switchable cassette preamp provides Gain and Volume controls and can produce heavily saturated, fizzy overdrive when driven.
