Reel Deal V2

The Templo Devices Reel Deal Tape Pre-Amp V2 is a preamp, distortion, DI and compressor based on the transistor preamp section of a vintage Revox reel-to-reel tape recorder. It adds variable Gain, high-input-impedance buffered bypass, an ultra-low-impedance XLR output with ground lift, and an Overload LED whose brightness increases with distortion. A three-position Tape Speed switch provides full-frequency response, a slight bass cut, or a stronger bass cut for treble-boost operation. V2 adds a three-position Limit switch that uses the Overload light for lo-fi optical compression, with Off, high-frequency compression and full compression settings.
