Reel Deal Studio

The Templo Devices Reel Deal Studio is a stereo preamp, distortion, vibrato and phaser based on two Reel Dealuxe circuits, each derived from the preamp section of a vintage Revox reel-to-reel tape recorder and paired with Templo’s Model 33 Smooth vibrato. Designed for always-on studio processing, it removes the footswitches and provides two channels with independent tape-style preamp saturation and modulation. Phase switches add dry signal to each vibrato to create phasing effects, while additional controls can reverse one vibrato’s sweep direction and link both vibratos for synchronized, unstable modulation. Overload LEDs respond to signal level and increase in brightness as distortion increases. A single mono input can be duplicated across both channels, while stereo output is available through separate TS connections or a single TRS cable.
