The Templo Devices 2 Track Tape-Style Compressor is a stereo compressor and boost based on a modified diode-compression circuit originally published in 1966. It uses two compression circuits for stereo processing and is designed to produce a colored, smooth response reminiscent of cassette-tape compression. Input Volume adds gain before the diodes, increasing compression as it is raised and introducing mild distortion at its highest settings. Dynamics adjusts the amount of compression and interacts with the input level; at minimum, compression is removed while saturation remains. Output Volume controls the final level and provides additional boost. A VU meter gives a visual indication of compression. The Mono/Stereo switch can split a mono input to both outputs or process a stereo signal separately. It also provides dual XLR outputs, buffered bypass and operates from 9V DC center-negative power at approximately 40 mA.
