Asunder
Report incorrect information
The Asunder is a silicon transistor fuzz based on a vintage two-transistor topology, developed as an expanded version of the Heavy Peaches one-knob fuzz. Its Gain control adjusts fuzz intensity, ranging from muffled overdrive to heavily saturated distortion, while Volume sets the output level. Tone operates as a high-pass filter, progressively reducing low frequencies when turned clockwise while retaining high-frequency content. Bias adjusts transistor voltage, producing voltage-starved, gated and sputtering fuzz at lower settings, more responsive sounds with guitar-volume cleanup around noon, and pronounced gating with temporary signal cutoff and swell at higher settings. The circuit includes filtering at the input, output transistor and power supply to reduce high-frequency noise and radio interference.
