Asunder v2 (Small Skull)
Report incorrect information
The Asunder V2 is an experimental silicon transistor fuzz that expands on the original Asunder with two additional circuits: an analog octave-up frequency doubler and a CMOS phase-locked loop (PLL). It retains the original dual-transistor fuzz topology and Volume, Gain, Tone and Bias controls. The new OCT switch introduces upper-octave harmonics and intermodulation distortion, producing metallic, ring modulation-like textures with chords. The PLL switch routes the fuzz signal through a synthesizer circuit that generates an oscillator signal synchronized to the input, while the PLL knob adjusts tracking speed for glitchy, droning and synth-like effects. Bias also influences PLL tracking, allowing gated and unstable textures. V2 introduces revised skull artwork with small and large graphic options.
