Nvmbr

The October Audio Nvmbr Fuzz is a one-knob octave-up fuzz inspired by classic late-1960s octave fuzz circuits. It features redesigned input and output stages using matched transistor arrays and silicon diode clipping to produce pronounced upper-octave harmonics with reduced noise and improved note definition. Internal filtering minimizes radio interference, harsh clipping artifacts and excessive high frequencies. Rather than using a dedicated fuzz control, the circuit responds to instrument volume, transitioning from aggressive octave fuzz to cleaner, ring modulation-like textures as the guitar volume is reduced. The octave effect is particularly pronounced around the 12th fret. Originally released in 2021 with a larger enclosure and an octave on/off switch, this compact reissue removes the switch and updates the transistor configuration.
