Fuzzbox

The SolidGoldFX Fuzzbox is a silicon-transistor fuzz pedal inspired by the classic Tone Bender Mk II circuit. Using carefully selected low-gain silicon transistors, it delivers harmonically rich fuzz with dynamic response and extended sustain. Level adjusts output volume, while Fuzz controls gain and saturation. Bias adjusts the operating point of the third transistor, ranging from gated, sputtering textures to smoother, sustained fuzz. Sag simulates a dying battery by reducing the circuit voltage from approximately 9V to 5V, increasing compression, and producing voltage-starved distortion. A Vintage/Modern switch selects between an unbuffered input for traditional pickup interaction and a buffered input with fuller bass response and improved compatibility with preceding effects.
