Tone Bender MKII
Report incorrect information
The British Pedal Company Compact Series Tone Bender MKII is a germanium fuzz pedal that faithfully recreates the 1966 Professional MK II Tone Bender, the successor to the original 1965 MKI. Handmade in the UK, it features three OC81D germanium transistors, known for their smooth tonal character, high saturation and rich sustain. An alternative version with OC75 transistors is available upon request. The Level control adjusts output volume, while Attack determines fuzz intensity and saturation. The compact enclosure replaces the considerably larger original housing, making it more practical for modern pedalboards. Produced in limited quantities, the pedal features a negative 9V power input. The original MKII circuit is closely associated with Jimmy Page's guitar sound on Led Zeppelin II, particularly the track "Whole Lotta Love."
