DAD250+

Report incorrect information
The Progress Pedals DAD250+ is an overdrive and distortion pedal inspired by the classic DOD 250 Overdrive Preamp and MXR Distortion+. Developed in collaboration with John Cusack, it retains the LM741 operational amplifier found in the original DOD 250 while introducing additional clipping options and modern switching. Three clipping modes provide different tonal characteristics: No Diodes produces open, amplifier-like overdrive with increased dynamic response; Silicon/Germanium combines the brighter character of silicon clipping with the warmer response of germanium diodes; and Loose uses asymmetrical LED/BAT clipping for a compressed, sagging amplifier-like sound. The pedal can also produce fuzz-like textures at higher gain settings. Additional features include soft-touch switching and operation at 9–18V DC, with higher voltages providing increased headroom.
