Melon Cube

The Melon Cube is a pulse-width modulation (PWM) fuzz pedal that transforms the guitar signal into a square wave, producing sounds ranging from thick, saturated fuzz to synthesizer-like tones and retro video game effects. Five controls provide sound adjustment: Level sets the output volume, Gate adjusts the gating of the input signal, Tone reduces high-frequency content, Shape controls the square wave's pulse width, and Juice adjusts the voltage supplied to the pulse-width circuit, allowing a transition toward more conventional fuzz tones at lower settings. The pedal features pronounced gating and may require a stronger input signal when used with low-output or vintage-style pickups. Hand-assembled in Long Beach, California, it is designed for both conventional fuzz sounds and experimental electronic textures.
