Cloud River

The FruitFX Pedals CloudDriver is an analog transparent overdrive designed for dynamic response and preservation of the guitar's natural tone. Combining vintage circuit topology with high-fidelity components, including an OPA2134 operational amplifier, it provides fast transient response, clear midrange and minimal low-frequency loss. Four controls shape the sound: Level adjusts output volume, Gain sets the amount of overdrive, Tone controls high-frequency response, and Clear blends clean signal into the overdrive circuit to adjust transparency. A two-position switch selects between traditional silicon soft clipping (Mode I) and transistor-based clipping (Mode II), which provides a more amplifier-like response. The pedal operates from 9V or 18V DC center-negative power, with 18V providing increased headroom. It is hand-assembled in Long Beach, California.
