Ancient Echos

The Wonderful Audio Technology Ancient Echos is an ambient reverb pedal combining delay, modulation and reverb using PT2399 and Belton BRDR-3H chips. Its signal path features a modulated pre-delay with adjustable feedback, followed by reverb and low-pass filtering, while preserving a separate dry signal. Seven controls shape the effect: Level, Dampen, Echo, Resonance, Reflections, Rate and Depth. These provide sounds ranging from subtle room ambience and spring-like textures to long, modulated echoes and atmospheric drones. A momentary Summon footswitch maximizes delay feedback for sustained, evolving textures, while an expression input allows external control of Reflections. An internal switch selects true bypass or buffered bypass with trails.
