Tsukuyomi

The Ground Control Audio Tsukuyomi is an op-amp-based clean boost and midrange preamp pedal featuring up to 26 dB of full-range gain and an optional 12 dB midrange boost. Its main gain stage maintains a mostly flat frequency response, while an additional active band-pass filter emphasizes frequencies between approximately 880 Hz and 1 kHz. The selectable midrange boost increases the prominence of these frequencies without requiring additional equalization controls. The circuit incorporates a discrete JFET input buffer to preserve signal integrity. Introduced in 2018 as the midrange counterpart to the Amaterasu, the Tsukuyomi shares its basic circuit design but uses a different filter configuration for the secondary gain stage. It features mechanical true bypass and operates from a 9V DC center-negative supply, drawing approximately 5 mA
