Smarve

The Smirmoor Smarve is a high-gain distortion pedal featuring five cascaded gain stages built around TL072 operational amplifiers and 16 1N914 clipping diodes. Designed for standard and down-tuned guitars, its circuit provides a wide gain range, from moderate crunch to heavily saturated distortion with extended sustain. The Pre-Bass control adjusts low-frequency content before the gain stages, allowing tighter bass response or increased low-end saturation. Gain determines distortion intensity, Tone adjusts the overall frequency response, and Volume controls output level. A Phase switch changes the circuit's phase configuration, providing an additional tonal variation. The pedal uses a 1590BB enclosure and operates on a standard 9V DC power supply.
