MIDI Box 4.2

The Disaster Area Designs MIDI Box 4.2 is a MIDI converter that adapts standard 5-pin DIN MIDI signals to different 1/4-inch MIDI connection formats. It features four independently configurable output ports, each supporting Tip Active, Ring Active, TRS MIDI Type A, TRS MIDI Type B and dual tip/ring operation. Front-panel DIP switches allow each output to be configured without software. The unit supports MIDI-compatible pedals from manufacturers including Chase Bliss, Strymon, BOSS, Meris, Empress and Alexander. A dedicated hardware MIDI Thru connection forwards incoming MIDI data to additional devices, allowing multiple units to be connected in series. A multicolor LED indicates power and incoming MIDI activity.
