The Ampeg SGT-DI is a bass preamp and direct interface combining analog tone shaping with digital cabinet simulation. Its Super Grit Technology overdrive circuit offers selectable SVT and B15 voicings, while a footswitchable 3-band EQ with sweepable mids, Ultra-Hi and three-position Ultra-Lo switches provide additional tonal control. A variable 10:1 compressor handles dynamics, and the built-in IR loader includes six Ampeg cabinet impulse responses, with three user-replaceable slots. Cabinet simulation can be adjusted or bypassed entirely. Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch line outputs support direct connections to recording and live sound equipment, while an auxiliary input and headphone output allow private practice.
