Urla

The AC Noises Urla is a dual-effect pedal that combines a CMOS fuzz with an analog resonant filter section inspired by the Korg MS-20 synthesizer. Designed for experimental and synth-like sounds, it can produce gated fuzz textures, aggressive filtering, and highly resonant tones. The fuzz section uses CMOS logic circuitry instead of traditional transistor-based designs, creating a square-wave-like signal with a distinctive gated and glitchy character. A Blend control allows the fuzz signal to be mixed with the dry signal. The filter section consists of a high-pass and low-pass filter connected in series, each with adjustable cutoff frequency and resonance controls. An expression pedal input allows real-time control of either filter cutoff, making the Urla suitable for dynamic filter sweeps, sound design, and unconventional guitar, bass, or synthesizer applications.
