Instead, it converts your playing dynamics into a control voltage (CV) signal that can be used to modulate compatible pedals or synthesizers. An envelope follower analyzes the incoming guitar signal and transforms its dynamics into a smooth, expressive CV output, allowing your playing intensity to directly control external parameters for dynamic, performance-based modulation.
