Shallow Water

The Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water is a modulation pedal that generates random pitch modulation by continuously varying a short delay time. Instead of producing a regular cyclical effect, it creates unpredictable vibrato-, chorus-, and flanger-like textures with a character inspired by aging tape machines. The pedal also incorporates a low-pass filter, allowing lo-fi sounds ranging from subtle movement to heavily degraded modulation. By combining non-cyclical pitch variation with tonal shaping, Shallow Water produces organic, tape-like modulation that avoids the repetitive nature of conventional chorus and vibrato effects.
