The Fairfield Circuitry ~900 is a high-gain fuzz pedal built around two cascading JFET gain stages, offering a wide range of tones from clean, high-headroom sounds to heavily saturated fuzz. The Input control adjusts the level driving the first gain stage, while the Fuzz control determines how hard the second stage is driven, making the two controls highly interactive. A Bias control adjusts the operating point of the second gain stage, changing the symmetry of the saturation and allowing gated fuzz textures at more extreme settings. The Volume control provides ample output level, making the ~900 suitable for everything from dynamic overdrive-like sounds to aggressive, harmonically rich fuzz.
