Loud’n Proud

The Mad Professor Loud’n Proud is an amp-in-a-box overdrive designed to recreate the feel and response of a vintage 4-input Marshall amplifier. Unlike typical drive pedals, it reproduces the complete amp signal path, including preamp, phase inverter, push-pull power amp section, and output transformer simulation, giving it a more realistic amp-like behavior and dynamics. Its medium-gain foundation is paired with an integrated boost/fuzz section. The boost adds up to 13dB of gain and enhanced midrange presence, while the fuzz is voiced after vintage germanium designs, allowing tones to clean up naturally with the guitar’s volume control. A two-position voicing switch changes the response between tighter, more compressed tones and looser, more dynamic low end, covering a wide range of classic British amp sounds.
