MT-2 Metal Zone Analog Man Mod

The Analog Man MT-2/Pro Mod is a modification for the Taiwan-made BOSS MT-2 Metal Zone designed to reduce the harsh, overly compressed character of the stock pedal while improving note definition and lowering noise. The mod retains plenty of available gain but provides a more natural response, with the sweepable mid-frequency control behaving more like a parametric EQ than the original. It includes upgraded capacitors, selected clipping diodes, and, on pedals manufactured before 2008, a replacement op-amp. Newer pedals already incorporate the specified JRC chip. The modification also reduces the noise floor by approximately 5 dB while preserving the MT-2's powerful EQ and high-gain capabilities.
