The BAT is a versatile take on the classic Rat distortion, expanded with selectable op-amps and six distinct clipping modes for a wide range of drive textures. Built with NOS LM308 and OP07 chips, it captures everything from vintage Rat grind to modern, high-output distortion. Clipping options include classic silicon diodes for traditional Rat tones, LEDs inspired by the Turbo Rat, NOS Soviet germanium diodes for smoother saturation, and germanium clipping optimized for bass. Additional MOSFET and soft clipping modes add crunchy, amp-like textures, while the boost mode uses op-amp clipping for maximum output and aggression. From tight distortion to fuzzy, dynamic overdrive, the BAT delivers highly customizable Rat-style tones with expanded flexibility and character.
